Always about a Month Behind!

Yes this is true with most of my posts.... I fall about a month behind getting things up! Well January has been quite eventful in so many ways! With the new year comes getting our home ready to put on the market sometime in March, there are lots of little projects that need to get done. James was working the 8-5 shift in Pullman which meant driving each day Mon-Fri, he was gone from the house for 12 hours a day. Now he is on shift work and only works 3 days out of every 9 days, it is so nice to have him home more. However yesterday was his first day on shift and he unfortunately rolled his truck onto its side about 10 miles out of Spokane. He is fine and suprisingly the truck had minimal damage, the insurance will decide what happens next on Monday. I am so thankful that he came out alright. Oh, and he was able drive the truck down to Pullman for his shift, although a little late.

This picture was taken by the new station that showed up on the scene of James rollover. He was on their webpage on Wednesday morning.

New Years was very fun, we spent a quiet night at home with our friends Jennifer and Jesse, and their 6 year old daughter Jayden. Jayden was looking so forward to mid-night and was hoping to bang on pans and make all kinds of noise at new years, she slept right through and did NOT want to do anything but sleep. We adults visisted, which may seem simple but with such busy lives we never get to do that. Then we played a fun game of Clue, its been at least 15 years since I played that game so it was lots of fun. It was so nice to be with good friends for the New Year.

Cheers to a very busy year!

Here is Jayden close to mid-night, note that sweet grumpy little face!

This picture was the first of many but they only got sillier and sillier!

Mid-way through the month we had to privilage of seeing many of our friends at Lutherhaven for the "Annual Festival of the Burning Trees". Yes we go to camp each year and watch all of our christmas trees go up in flame. This year there was lots of fireworks (some closer than I might like), and sparklers, and of course flames. Then we had a great bonfire near the broomball court (basically an ice court), this was the second annual broomball game. All in all it was wonderful to see so many friends and have a chance to visit with them all!

This was taken next to the fire that we burned our tree in! Then James ran off to play broom ball!

Former roomies! Alissa and I were roommates at Lutherhaven, it's fun to get to visit!

I have been going every other Friday to my bible study group, this last week we were all there together, the last time was at our first meeting in September. I was fortunate enough to have my camera there the get a picture of us all together.

The two newest mommies of the group, Rachel and Kariya, Jami and Anneka!

Our whole bible study group together again!
Pam, Linda, Helen, Glenna, Hannah, Mary, Julie

Lastly the only way to sum up the month of January is SNOW SNOW SNOW! Thats right we have had unending snow for almost 2 months, but the past weeks we have had record amounts of snow. I don't know what the snow totals are for here but is a LOT! Schools have been closed all week and now the Govenor has declared our area in a State of Emergency. Its been crazy but we are trying to make the most it! We FINALLY have a real winter!

I hope this finds all of you safe and warm this amazing winter!!
