A Very Busy Weekend!!

This past weekend was a very busy one for James and I, but it was lots of fun at the same time. This weekend was James' badge pinning ceremony for the Pullman Fire Department. This just means that they officially gave him is fire badge, it's a big deal for the city and the mayor and some of the city council attend. It was small compared to the pinning that he had in North Bend at the Traing Accdemy but it meant a lot to the department. The men get to pick someone from their family to do the pinning, in this case it was me, but some of the guys had their dads or kids pinning them and that was really cute! This was also a great time for me to get to meet some of the other wives or girlfriends, which is really nice because I've heard that the wives can become a support to each other as they get to know each other over time. It ended up being a nice morning and afternoon in Pullman, my parents were there to support James as well and we all went out to lunch before had to celebrate and kill a little time before it started. All in all it was a wonderful time.

"Smile Guys" "Wait, Look over here" "Ok, Now look over here" There were lots of flashes going off!

Yummy cake! Can you find our name??? (here's a hint its our last name!)

After the ceremony was over we had to get changed in to comfy clothes and head up to the Spokane Valley for our nieces 5th birthday party!!! We actually missed the party but we had promised her that we would be there late to give her, her gift. We gave this awesome stuffed horse, Taylor LOVES horses!!! After a quick birthday visit we were so exhausted we went home and crashed....because Easter was the next day!!!!

Uncle James, Auntie Erin, Taylor, and the new pony! Happy 5th Birthday Taylor, We Love You!!!

Easter started off with very cold weather and when we came out of church around 11am it was actually snowing!!! I am not so sure I like early Easters.... But the cold weather didn't stop us from having a wonderful day with LOTS of family, 20 to be exact!!! We had my brother-in-laws parents (Ray and Barb), his sister and her two kids (Tracy, Lauren, and Evan), my step sister Christie's mom and step-dad (Shelly and Steve), then the usual... Mom and Dad (Sherri and Al), sister and boyfriend (Ann and Jeff), sister and family (Christie, Mark, Taylor, and Conner), cousin and family (Tina, Dennis, and Ethan), then James and I!!! It was a full house but thankfully my parents have a very open floor plan and it was a very comfortable day! There was an easter egg hunt and board games and card games going all over the house. It was so fun to have lots of kids in the house again, it reminded me of when us girls were little! It was a warming sight! Easter is such a special holiday and I was so greatful that we could have so many family members (no matter how we are connected) together in one place to celebrate. I pray that you all had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed the people you spent time with no matter how you were connected! Blessings to you all and her are a few of my photo memories from Easter Sunday!
